As for this awd business I owned a fusion 2007 first year of the awd fusion option owned it a few years about 20,000 miles on it. The AWD in that snow seems fairly well split front/back. And, with AWD, an excellent daily-driver for any weather condition. The Fusion is front wheel drive which will handle great in the snow compared to any rear wheel drive vehicle. It just feels pretty well rounded. I love how it handles on dry roads and in the rain, but in the snow...not so happy.
